Nigel showed Rowan the bongo drums today and she proved to be a good student. :-)
Nigel was tapping away on the drums and demonstrated how Rowan could tap her rattle on the drum to make a very satisfying sound. The first few times, she just kept jamming the rattle into her mouth, but you could see the moment when she understood the cause and effect of the sound. Then she spent a few minutes really smacking the drums with her rattle with a gleeful look on her face. Very cute! Sadly, no photos. We'll see if she remembers enough for a repeat performance tomorrow.
