5 weeks old!

Rowan is five weeks old today.

Sometimes after Nigel leaves for work, I feed Rowan lying down in bed and then we fall asleep together. It's very cozy.

Rowan's rash is finally starting to get better. Yay! Some of the rash on and behind her ears seems to have evolved into a bit of cradle cap (yellow crusties), but it isn't too bad. I think we just weren't bathing her vigorously enough.

Rowan is definitely starting to make more "happy" noises - cooing and such - when excited. Her change table is her favourite place, hands down, because of the mobile and musical "happy bugs" toy.

A close second, though, seems to be the bathroom floor. When we give Rowan her bath, we superheat the bathroom with a little space heater so she doesn't get cold. Before and after her bath, we let her have naked time. She LOVES to be without clothes, so we strip her down and lie her on a cushy towel on the heated tile floor with the space heater running. This makes her so happy! Lots of fist-shaking and happy-noises and big wide eyes. She likes having her bath, so all in all, this is good quality time for Rowan, her daddy, and me.
