Rowan had a great birthday party with lots of visitors. Thanks again everybody for all the lovely gifts, yummy potluck food, and for coming out to celebrate with us.
Some of Rowan's birthday guests.Rowan seemed to enjoy being the centre of attention all day, although she did try to have a little alone-time a couple of times: once by hiding in the bookshelf, and once by going upstairs and "asking" daddy to put her in her baby swing. Very cute!
Rowan and my cousin Lisa.
Rowan examining some of her new loot.
Rowan particularly enjoyed the gift bags, wrapping paper, and ribbons.
Rowan's great-grandpa made this nifty wooden block cart and her great-grandma painted it. Rowan likes to push it around and throw the blocks everywhere.
Some more of our party guests: Ken, Terri and Rebecca.
Frankenbuggy!Nigel built Rowan an awesome all-terrain jogging stroller out of recycled kids' bikes. It accommodates our small car seat that we aren't using anymore. The whole Frankenbuggy is now a fabulous sparkle-purple, too. Very stylish.
Rowan's a little stinker.Rowan will only keep her skunk hat on if she is cold enough. If she's inside, she whips it off quicker than you can take a photo.
A lovely fall day.
Our little tree hugger.
Rowan is now letting go and standing up with no support! So funny.
