Happy Halloween!

For Halloween, we went into Ottawa for a Halloween party at Ken and Terri's place. We walked around their neighbourhood with our little skunk Rowan - not really trick-or-treating, but enjoying all the kids in costume and the Halloween decorations people put up. The costume of the year in their neighbourhood, for both genders: pirate. There were also, of course, lots of princesses, but I don't think any of the boys were brave enough for that costume. There were even skateboarding kids with leaf-bag costumes. I've missed having trick-or-treaters. We don't get any kids where we live.

Rowan also got to dress up in her cute little monkey suit that Kira got her for her birthday, but I didn't get a photo of it yet. :-( She wore it again today on our walk - it's nice and cozy.

Rowan really likes pumpkins - she rolled ours around on the floor, tried to put her head inside it, and tried to climb on top of it. She points at it and calls it "pupp-pin." Super cute.

Rowan the pumpkin wrangler.

Sharing her catch with Daddy.

Guess who's smelly?

This suit is especially funny when Rowan decides to crawl, because it perfectly mimics the sort of inelegant, lumbering shape that skunks have when they are moving. She wore it again to playgroup, much to the amusement of the other kids and moms.

Rowan helped Ken watch for trick-or-treaters.

Rowan played with these two witch hats for at least an hour.
